Providing real-time communication on your website

While building our new website we looked into several applications that allow us to communicate with our users real-time while on the website. Read here why we chose p3chat.
After spending roughly two weeks we decided to go with a small new Russian company that provides the p3chat application. We had a couple of key features we were looking for, that made the choice quite easy.
- Ease of use for the customer.
- Integration with common instant message clients.
- Transfer of chats between operators.
- No slow down of website.
- The ease of use is something that appeals to everyone. Using the application should be straight forward, intuitive and encourage the customer to establish the chat.
After looking through several solutions that all required our operators to be on a specific web page to serve the chat, we found p3chat that integrates well with existing instant message protocols like Jabber, MSN, Yahoo and AIM. This allows our operators to answer from any device they may be operating at the time of the chat, including smart phones and tablet computers.
Transferring chats between operators was essential, since we want to make sure the customer gets connected to the niXtech staff best equipped to answer the question.
Many of chat solutions currently available tend to slow down the load of the website. We have noticed almost no increase in load times after adding the p3chat integration.
The ease of installation also appeals to many non-tech companies and as stated on p3chats website it can in fact be installed in a matter of minutes.
Many existing CMS packages already provide plug-ins for p3chat.
While the application is still in beta, we have to say that there have been no noticable problems with the service in the period we have tested it.
